Skip

I’ve recently noticed that I might have a bit of a thing for skips. The photograph is from summer last year on a trip to London, where I also captured the ice-cream van outside Madame Tussauds of a similar shape in structure. Perhaps it is something to do with my fondness for Matt Stuart’s brilliant photograph of a skip forming the body of a peacock, that I cannot detach the familiarity of the boldly coloured, hexagonal shape from my recognition. Just the other day I also captured a bright red skip (both in the day and at night) which are still on the roll of film I have yet to finish and process. Maybe this could be the start of a new mini project!
