Leica Self Portrait

It has been a long while since my last post, but now that my dissertation is done and handed in, I can concentrate on taking photos at last! I’m looking forward to numerous shoots before the end of this academic year, both mini personal projects as well as my final uni project for the exhibition in May.

Over Christmas I borrowed the beautiful Leica M2 from uni for the first time, and it took some getting use to! The focusing system especially is a little tricky at times, but that could be down to my poor eyesight. I’m not too sure how they came out, but at 3200 iso they’re very grainy, and having only processed them the other day I still have plenty to scan, and a darkroom contact sheet to print. Here’s a little self portrait with the lovely Leica, using up the last few frames on a camera I am fortunate to have used, and will hopefully use again before graduating.
