Here’s a little something from my trip to London the other day, taken under a bridge on the way to a photography talk held by The Photographers’ Gallery. The speakers – David Bate, Andrew Fisher, Martin Lister and Katrina Sluis  discussed “photography’s current status in the global context of the internet and digital technology.” – Ideas of which are relevant to my dissertation.

It’s almost become a routine now that when in London I’ll visit Whitechapel Gallery with my boyfriend. The exhibition at the moment, is the work of Wilhelm Sasnal whose powerful paintings are often of pictures taken from the internet. This inspiring exhibition, not only made me feel the need to pick up a paintbrush for the first time since GCSE, but also made me think more about the appropriated photographs I’ll be exploring in my dissertation.
